Bye-bye, world.

An update! (Finally)
Yes, people, I'm still alive. But...
It's official. I've been too busy to blog. Probably am going to remain too busy to blog for awhile still. *sighs* Anyways...
Some simple updates:-
1. NUS Chinese Society's Chinese Orchestra concert is coming up soon! Been busy with the increased frequency of practice sessions. I suppose I really ought to consider joining the NUS Chinese Orchestra next academic year... My yangqin skills are really stagnant now, and it would certainly improve if I had a teacher to teach me, instead of trying to learn for myself. =X
2. IES-NUS Presidential Election's coming soon too. Still undecided on whether I'm staying in the council next academic year... Stuck in a bit of a dilemma.
3. Vietnam Overseas Industrial Visit. To go, or not to go? I'll already be going to the Hong Kong Overseas Industrial Visit (and am real excited about it too), so....Vietnam....Hmm. Ah. I suppose that depends on how the discussion with daddy mummy go tomorrow... I wish I had lots and lots of money. *daydreams* Too bad I don't have an unlimited supply.
4. CN3124 mid term exam in slightly over a week's time. *makes a face*
5. Still have 4 ongoing engineering projects to manage. *worry, worry*
6. Need I say this...? I need to study for my finals too... =( My best friend in my course loves counting down the weeks to me. *stressed*
A pic from our photoshoot:-
See the ratio of guys to girls. Engineering, indeed. *Lol*
Despite the heavy workload, it's been an interesting semester, and I like my university life. :DDD
Let's hope it stays that way.
Haha...

The First Yee Sang.
Had my first ever 'yee sang' today!
After an IES-NUS executive meeting, we gathered for some 'yee sang' to celebrate the Chinese New Year, since our committee dinner had been postponed. Perhaps it's weird to be saying this - but it was interesting for me anyways, since I've never done that before. Haha... I guess it's these little things that make university life interesting, sometimes.
On a separate note, I think I've gotten quite accustomed to life in NUS, (and I should be, of course, since it's my second year already), and despite all the stress, and how trying times can be sometimes, I know if I had to make this decision again, I would choose NUS all over again. Hee~

Evanescent.

Another long bus ride, and I am back in Singapore. The 4 day break back home felt like it ended all too quickly...evanescent moments, indeed. Ah. I miss home...and now I've too much work to catch up on. I've quite a bit of pictures...but I guess I'll have to try to upload them when I've the time...soon, I hope. Ah. I'm homesick, and not thinking straight today, so do forgive the incoherent writings.

A New Chapter.
Or so I'll like to believe.
Yet another semester in NUS - It's semester 4, this time around.
Heat & Mass Transfer. Chemical Kinetics and Reactor Design. Particle Technology. Chemical Engineering Process Laboratory I. Engineering Professionalism.
4 design projects.
4 final exams.
4 more months to slog it out.
I pray... let this be a new beginning to a better year ahead.

Photobook of our University Life.
Okay, so the exams are finally over, and the holidays have finally started. *happy happy*
But before I start getting excited about my vacation plans - i.e. friends, family, sleep, sleep, sleep! =X (Hey, don't give me that look... what's a girl to do without sufficient beauty sleep anyway?) - I thought I should 'pay tribute' to those mugging days first...
Many thanks to Mr. Lim Chu Hwai, who studied with me in the freezing cold underground function room during reading week! This brings back memories from SAM, doesn't it? Haha... Poor guy was sick, and he still studied till the wee hours of the morning... @_@
Me. I was freaking sick, on medication and darn uncomfortable. But. Still dragged my feet to the function room to mug for organic chem, which in the end didn't help anyway. =X Can't remember what time I studied till that day... Me, being the lazy girl, always ended my 'day' earlier than Mr. Lim. But hey, he starts his day later than me! (Excuse) *quickly looks away*
Evidence of my tea / milo addiction.
Oh yes, all 3 of those were mine.
=X
My medicine. Next to a note that says "Study!"
I like the irony of it.
Lol.
Evidence of Chu Hwai camping in the function room.
LOL.
The story behind this candy...? I was standing in line to pay for something else, when I picked this up to try and read the Hiragana/Katakana printed on it. I moved along with the queue, and well...ended up buying it, without the real intention of eating it actually...I was really just trying to figure out the Japanese words. @_@ Later, I happily declared to Chu Hwai that there was grape jelly and yogurt in the candy...and he, well, he just rolled his eyes, because of my ridiculousness.
XD
Chu Hwai's notes.
Crazy, isn't it?
=X
Writings on the wall.
One hour into studying.
Writings on the wall.
A few hours later.
Please ignore the ridiculous drawing of DNA and the pacman, which is doubling as DNA polymerase I.
A silly girl did that because she was just so bored.
*ahem ahem*
Biochem isn't the most interesting subject.
FYI, most of the post-its were written by Chu Hwai.
I only contributed 3.
0037 hours.
Still in function room.
Lol.
Chu Hwai took this pic, by the way.
The weirdest thing.
An exchange student, whom neither me nor Chu Hwai knows, wrote both those notes.
It was like... "Huh???! Little angel?"
"Whaaaatttttt???"
We laughed lots over that.
Weirdest thing that happened in the entire reading week.
Lol.

feat. Mei & Chu Hwai
2 S9-ians who studied like mad for SAM in 2006 to get into NUS.
And now, in 2008, an architect-wannabe and a chem engineer-wannabe, studying like mad to try to survive tertiary education in NUS.

... ...
Disappointment doesn't even come close to describing it.
I don't even know what to say anymore.
All the time spent... wasted...when it mattered the most too.
I think I'll rather be dead.
Great going, girl.
Chemical engineer?
More like only in your dreams, idiot.
